Susumu thinks Yoshino is a normal teenage girl. She's helpful so he tries to be nice on top of his usual blunt cordialness with her. He does appreciate that there is a camper who knows but is willing to keep the shinsengumi's secrets. He doesn't quite trust Okita's decision to make it this girl, though he's kind of realized that Yoshino has a crush on Okita (for sure) and maybe a crush on Tatsu. He didn't put any real thought on the mistletoe kiss, but that's mainly because 1) kissing on duty or for his job happens a lot and he's kind of seperated himself emotionally from physical displays of . . .affection. 2) he sees no reason why either of them would make a deal about it. (no clue that yoshino might like him or there might be backlash of some kind because of the kiss)
He does like her enough as a un-official mini-member of their camp group, especially since she's the one he usually will ask about camp stuff. (how to look up info, use the computer, etc)

Yoshino thinks Susumu is really, really hot handsome! And she got to kiss him. Awesome!!1! Regarding the kiss, she simultaneously feels a little guilty and very delighted. Guilty because she's been here longer, she should've prevented it, etc. and delighted because... well. You know. She knows Susumu doesn't think anything of it and that's definitely more than fine with her! She won't deny that she liked it, but she wouldn't want to do it again because that would be weird. On an equally shallow note, Yoshino thinks Susumu is like, the coolest person ever because he's got the whole quiet, deadly ninja assassin thing going for him

Ryohei really likes Lal! He absolutely adores/respects his master and meeting his master's master is like, double the kick-ass EXTREME AWESOME!!1 Plus, lal has a no-nonsense way of training that Ryohei thinks is great in a coach.
Despite not having aged him up (yet), a bit on my head canon for TYL Ryohei and Lal. TYL Ryohei is definitely much more mature, assured, intelligent and responsible. He's managed to turn his rampant Extreme energy into channeled forces. This means he's handling missions or assignments with CONCENTRATED EXTREME! I think Ryohei mourns inside for Colonello's passing but is not the type to show others. As the Sun, he would need/want to be the one that shines strong for the others to take example from. In TYL, he probably became close to Lal, both pre and post Colonello's death and would have taken it upon himself to check on her and make sure she's okay for master's sake.
As for Kangaroo. . .BECAUSE FEMALE KANGAROO IS AWESOME AND EXTREME. lol. nfc XD
Susumu thinks the Ichimura brothers are troublesome and annoying- but slowly they are growing on him in the way that you get used to an old pain or ache. He thinks Tatsu is annoying, nosy, worry-bug, brother-obsessed and way too emotional- but he also considers him a member of the shinsengumi and probably other than Okita, Hijikata and captains, one of the few people is is closer to. (which is close as in you know who he is and what he does and he'll talk with you) Susumu was annoyed with Tatsu's reaction to the mistletoe kiss, not because they kissed which he honestly treated like a science experiment but because Tatsu gave this weird suggestion like the kissing was suppose to mean something or be accompanied with something. For Susu, being a spy means he's had to do some pretty demeaning and shady things while in disguise for information (probably not limited to just kissing, if you know what i mean) and for him, physical interaction is just another tool of his job. Having Tatsu make such a deal about it made him uncomfortable and
