So I told a friend of mine I was going out with a jew and screamed and told me I was a traitor that I have betrayed both my blood, my religion and my comunity. He asked me how me, between all the people, who have a strong faith could do something like that. I said I didn't look at that and that human qualities were what I see first in people. He ( Read more... )

what does it matter what faith he is...or she is if you were inclined that way. the only thing that matters is if that person is treating you well and is considerate towards your family. ♥♥♥♥♥♥

For muslims it matters. Most probably because of the war between Israel and Palestine. They think that eery jew is aggreing and contributing to the war that kills ou brothers there.
I'm muslim but for me it doesn't. For him it doesn't at all. But our families...(let's not even talk about the fact that we do not have the same social origins that he comes from an extremely rich and snobby familly and that they scare me T_T)

This is why I understand why Victor Hugo said "We don't all have the chance to be orphans". I don't my parents death, god no, but the problem is not only the religion but narrow minded people in general

so true. though my grandma was really religious, my mom never forced me to be that too and she herself doesn't have anything to do with religion, we decided if we want to believe or not.am happy my mom is tolerant and open-minded. everyone should be able to think and decide for themselves whom to date and what to believe, but some people are too conservative and way too narrow minded

aishh T__T it's gonna be tough babeh. I don't even know what to say! Hang in there!
maybe, just maybe, love will conquer all.

I'm from a strong catholic family. I dated an atheist. I was lucky enough that he loved me so much that he took lessons and got baptised so we could marry the catholic way. My parents were happy.
But my sister was living together before marriage and then was forced into marrying the guy at such a young age because of that (it's not like she was pregnant or anything). And now, years later when things finally settled down, my sister decided to become a christian because she felt she can connect to God more in a christian church. My dad is very upset.
My parents kept telling me how my sister made them grow older faster. I feel sad for my sister. She's an adult now, she has minds of her own. Parents can either accept their child the way she is or push her further away.

All the best for you and your other half! have faith in each other!

A) you need new friends... and religion is not in blood. no no. there is no blood type M.

B) hate just seems very anti holy/religious to me. Religion should only be in someone's life if it makes them a better person/ effects their life in positive way (like it makes you feel more fulfilled, gets you through the tough times, lets you see the good in things/people etc.) But maybe I'm just brainwashed by my only religious upbringing... I may not believe in God anymore, but I do believe that I don't need to believe in Him to be a decent human being.

C) Conflicts in the past shouldn't negatively effect future generations. Society can't move forward if it's mindset is stuck in the past. Otherwise, there wouldn't be any future generations because we would have all blown each other up by now.
