Some singaporean magazine called U-weekly has a recent mini write up on our boys, and they stated that the WEAKNESS of dbsk, according to a local reporter who was present at the KL concert 2006, claimed that he/she SUSPECTED that our boys lip synced almost the entire concert.

Feel insulted?

ahh it's on u-weekly? really? i didn't follow that. aish~ what's wrong with singapore media. they can't seem to stop making negative comments about foreign artistes or performer who performed here, huh. can still remember the last time they wrote an article following shinhwa's concert (2006) in a not-so-flattering way, i should say (forgot on which paper, though). again, how could they only wrote about 2006 concert when now is already 2008. ZOMG.. what proof do they have that our lovely boys lip-synched?

exactly! and i think local media sort of, was offended by our boys two years ago during the KL concert. I saw reports in different magazines critisizing that our boys were not interactive enough and that they were "proud" for being late for 45 mins the press conference. i'm not sure about the reasons for the late in press conference, but i know that ours boys might be feeling tired especially a few members at that time were ill. aish.

and what pissed me off is that local media TOTALLY ignore Kpop.

I don't really get why everyone's so uptight about it.

It is true that the boys lipsynched for all the fast songs, and it is true that what U-weekly said was quite the insult.

However, didn't the magazine say something along the lines of "Even though the boys are known for being talented in both singing and dancing etc etc..", or something? I remember being really angry when my mom told me about U-weekly saying that DBSK lipsynched for the M'sia concert.

But, after reading that article, I didn't feel the pain anymore because I thought, "At least they recognise the boys as being talented in singing and dancing. And they are just wondering why they lipsynched even though they can sing and dance."

Calm down~~ I think people are kinda blowing things out of proportion. I bet U-weekly must have received 982374928374 complains already, and I don't think it's gonna reflect well on us fans here in Singapore.

The article did write that they are good in singing and dancing, but by stating that they suspected they lip synced almost for the entire KL concert 06 was hinting that some ajustments to their voices were perhaps done when they were recording, and that they can't handle big stage. At least, this is what two or three of my non-fan friends told me on how they felt after reading. If my non-fan friends could feel that, why not those so many other ignorant singaporeans who do not even know how dbsk look like?

i guess this is some snowballing thing, this email of mine. I am already LONG pissed at local media for ignoring Kpop like, TOTALLY. and now finally they are reporting something on kpop, ... . aish.

lots of us have sent polite mails, but U-weekly totally ignore us.

hey ya I agree with your friend vanny. When you just told me I felt immensely insulted. But after I read it I thought like hey, at least they said their singing not bad, though the lipstncing was still pretty insulting. There goes the same for suju, the subgroup part was pretty insulting. And abt dbsk having 4 jap album just further proves that they didnt research. I'm gonna send them an email too but
probably not as agitated as yours haha. I have pictures of that article(cos I don't have scanner), you want? Haha.

But hey, that's a cool email, especially the kdrama part, totally speaks my

hmm yah they totally ignore kpop thats what really pissed me and all. and its not like as if those taiwanese artists doesnt lip sync or anything.

But the point is, they wont give a damn about us, cos they probably would think that we cant do anything.
