One reason you might find that you're feeling hungrier is if you're really reducing your fat intake. Fat is what your body monitors to tell you that you're full, plus fat and protein are what keep you feeling full longer. Fat gets a bad reputation, but it's not always bad, and a lot of low-fat products just replace the fat with a whole lot of sugar, which isn't any better for you. You might have better luck with having a little more fat in your food, but having smaller portions. I also find that 3 almonds will curb my hunger. It takes a while for them to kick in, but the protein really helps without adding too much in the way of calories.

A friend of mine who is studying nutrition mentioned soluble fiber as a way to stay fuller longer. I've been trying to find more ways to fit it in and it's really helped a lot. Have you tried it?
