The End of Livejournal?

Today I caved and decided to transfer every entry from my Livejournal to WordPress.  It’s a HUGE project.

My actions are based upon another WordPress blogger’s heartfelt tribute to LJ, including a link to THIS article that explains why Livejournal may be dead soon. And I can’t bear the thought of losing my whole carefully told past.

Trust me, it upsets me deeply. But did you read that article? I don't want to lose all my epic posts and heartfelt (often silly) comments. I can't. So first I backed them up as .xml files, and then Wordpress lets you upload those files. BUT - it doesn't transfer all the comments over, so for most of my posts I copied and pasted the comments section into the WP post. Trust me, TRUST ME... I did not want to do this.
