It pays to watch the local news

Had I not switched over to KXAN this morning from CNN, I would've never known that I don't have to go to work today. I was bright-eyed and energetic, ready to dig in again. I'm glad to have the day though! There are all sorts of productive things I need to do here.

I'm with you on the enforced idleness. With school out and vacation from work - I seem to have waaaay more time on my hands than I should.

I started in 6th grade and played through high school. Musicals were my favorite part, but I was in the symphony and a string quartet. It's something I've been done with for a very long time, but every once in a while I'm reminded about it.

Your friendly neighborhood news service at work! A couple of my co-workers actually found out when they showed up at the office. I felt kinda bad about that.

The weekend was lots of fun! It was great to hang out with you too.
