MOAB!!!!

so here is the full story, read at your own risk...

where to begin...the beginning eh? so i got to mikes at some un-godly hour of the morning, like 8:30, and sat around giggling at jennifer packing and mike playing with his new bike rack. i felt very unproductive and thought i should have helped more, but that was a trend throughout the weekend, so it shall be mentioned no more. we left...not loveland though, just mikes house, and went to dazbog to get coffee...and im going off starbucks because it was that much better.

one the road. long drive, i was trying to do my government homework, but i got car sick, which was unusual, so it took me the entire way to fruita to get the assignment done. needless to say statistics was completly blown off. the drive through utah was gorgeous, damn those moromans for snatching it away from the rest of us.

we got all checked in to the hotel, and then walked to the coolest drug store ever. well maybe not ever, but it was fun all the same, mike played with a walking stick that was shapped like a beaver, and we tried to find scrabble pieces with his mom. i think this was where we bought the squirt guns. our next stop was the grocery store. mike got sausage, i got bagels, and got confused as to where the bagels would be...the bread section? yeah it must have been a long drive because my brain wasn't functioning.

dinner was at this really rad mexican restaurant. i had a beab burritto, not that its important at all to tell anyone that, but whatev it was tasty. talked to sadie for a little bit, then handed the phone over to mike because he knew what our plans were better than i did.

room...sleeping...tv watching...yeah

woke up the next morning and went to ride dalton-wells. it was a way cool trail(?) and i had a blast, even though it pretty much kicked my ass. at least on the way up it did. i was so worried about not hurting my ankles i was doing everything half assed, and im pretty sure it was muay annoying to mike as i was probably holding him back, even though i dont think hes mean enough to tell me that it was. riding around on the slickrock was my favorite part, i wish that i was balsy enough to have followed mike up to the higher rocks. but alas...i suck.

then we hiked the portal trail, after eating lunch in the car consiting of sausage and cheese sticks, and really small cheez-its. i had to mention the lunch because for some reason i really had a lot of fun sitting in the car eating finger food and laughing with jennifer and mike. anyways....portal hike. hiking is definatly more my thing, i kinda wish we did more of it. crazy people that ride their bikes down it...pfft...

we ate dinner that night in a pizza place that was alomost exactly like woody's in foco, except woody's has better pizza, not that it was bad, woody's is just better. we saw the halversons there, so i got to talk to sades and mr. halverson, im so sorry that you flippe dover your handle bars! but at the same time im jealous that i dont have a story like yours to tell. there were tons of people waiting to be seated and mike was freaking out, i never really noticed his social anxiety until then...and i wanted to fix it...

room....tv watching (jeepers climbing rocks!!)...sleep...

woke up the next day and it was raining, we drove to the trail head anyways, and it was still rainy and cold when we got there, so we turned around and went back. the drive was really pretty tho, me and jennifer liked it, and im sure mike did too, just because he was so at home everywhere in moab. jennifer went walking downtown and me and mike went and rode on the bike path around town. miraculously we got mike to go to a movie with us that night and we saw million dollar baby. (side note, the movie was good but didn't deserve all the awards it won) dinner was at...shit...i forget the name of the resteraunt. but me and mike were watching tv and we saw a commercial for steak, so steak was what we all had or dinner, it was damn tasty. quote of the night goes to mike with "its amazing how these baked potatoes just fall apart" when his dinner came with french fries instead of a baked potato. ha.

tv...room...sleeping....waking up to a car alarm...more sleeping....

woke up late, well really i woke up at like the same time as jennifer, but i wasn't going to get up until mike was at least awake, so i just layed there and pretended to be asleep. we went out for breakfast at this place down the street, and got shoed out after our breakfast by our waitress because apparently talking after your meal is not allowed. pfft... got all checked out and packed up and then went on our way. denver was being allusive on the way home, the first three signs we saw that had how many miles it was to denver on them kept adding miles as we went east...it was sad, well i was happy, but i wasn't in any hurry to get home either.

so thats it, there are surely more side stories and such, but i am tired of typing...blah!
