Hearts, hEARTs hEaRTs HeArtS...I love you....I love this story and even though Jack is being man and all, he may indeed have the right of it. The Pearl would certainly respond well to being re=dresssed!~! Oh, miz Cat, go to the head of the class and that's no joke! Just beautiful the decription throught the bars!!! You done way good fine!

Thank you so much! And I love that you love this! :-)

Yes, men do have a tendency to oversimplify what they think makes a woman happy (and, more often than not, miss the mark). But Jack also takes great pride in his ship, and wanting her to look her best is part and parcel of this. I'm sure, though, after years of being used and abused by Barbossa, the Pearl is long overdue for a bit of pampering by a captain who truly loves and respects her. :-)

And you're very kind (and generous!) with your praise, and I thank you for your wonderful comments!

Nope, just know what I know, hasn't anything at all to do with being kind...you just have to bear up and accept the truth you got this one spot on!

I love this lots n lots!!! Jack hurts to see his Lady dressed is such tatters and rags and you've described that perfectly here. I'm certain that the acquiring of beautiful new sails for his lady will be by theft..but then his lady is a Pirate Queen, after all.

I'm glad you think so! Jack is always sensitive when it comes to his beloved Pearl, and it must have added greatly to his list of grievances against Barbossa, to think that he'd been neglecting her so!

I'm certain that the acquiring of beautiful new sails for his lady will be by theft..

I daresay you're right about that! :-)

but then his lady is a Pirate Queen, after all.

That, she most definitely is! :-)

Thank you so much for reading, and Commenting! I'm so glad you enjoyed the drabble! :-)

Really wonderful glimpse of Jack at that moment, reminding us again that Jack/Pearl was one of the best things about CotBP.

Love the twist here! Great work! You really bring into light just how strongly, protectively, and adoringly Jack feels for his beloved ship!

I've always been struck, and touched, by that aspect of Jack's personality. His dealings with humans might be dodgy (at best!), but when it comes to his Pearl, there's no doubting his devotion, or his sincerity.

Thank you for reading, and Commenting! :-)
