Jack noticed the tantalising smell upon awakening.
Expensive perfume…
And sex.
Hunger stirring, he stretched, rolled over, the silky bed-sheet slithering across his naked hip.
“Mornin’, luv.” He buried his nose in a tousle of sweet-scented hair, lips brushing an exposed shoulder. Shifting closer, pearls dislodged from her ruined coif pattered to the floor. “When’s His Lordship expected back from his ‘important business’?”
“Not until this evening.” A slender leg twined with his own. “No need to go… yet.”
“Well, darlin’,” he kissed her pretty pout, hands roving. “This’s what a husband gets, for abandonin’ his bride on her honeymoon…”
