Oh boy oh boy--two there were two stories, I thought so when I first looked and then got sidetracked and then there are two. Oh boy! I however, have run completely outta gas and so I'm just going to say...thank you for the lovely story, this sweet interpretation how that merchant ship met its end. Very cool telling of the tale.

Hmmm ... I never even considered that it might have been THAT merchant ship they were watching from afar. However, if it WAS, then it's sort of ironic that, despite Norrington's best efforts, they ended up being sidetracked by that conflict (or, at least, its aftermath) after all (not to mention narrowly missing their own possible confrontation with the cursed, renegade Pearl, though I'm sure Barbossa was savvy enough than to risk attacking a heavily-armed and battle-ready naval ship like the Dauntless. Not when there were easier, and much more lucrative, pickings to be had. Her crew crew might be all but immortal, thanks to the curse, but we've seen that the Pearl herself was not immune to having holes blown in her sides). ;-)
Thank you so much for reading, and for your kind (and enthusiatic) Comments! Always VERY appreciated! :-)
It's easy to picture this scene, with James smitten right from the beginning.
I'd like to think that James recognised that Elizabeth was a special girl, from practically their very first meeting. I'm sure he couldn't have known, then, exactly how special she'd become to him, as the years went by... ;-)
Lovely work!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the drabble! :-)
This is so cleverly written, so in-character & so insighful.
I'm glad you think so! (For some reason, I never have a hard time "hearing" Norrington in my head -- he has such a distinct, and utterly captivating, voice! Wonderfully delicious "ear-candy"!) ;-)
Fantastic drabble! :)
Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to Comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-)

Little did she know how much action she'd actually be in the thick of, a few years down the road (perhaps a bit more than she'd bargained for)! ;-)
Thank you so much for reading, and Commenting!
