Author's Note: This drabble immediately follows my earlier one "Precious Cargo"...
Norrington levelled Elizabeth a stern look. "I assume, young lady, your father's unaware that you're wandering about the ship at this ungodly hour… not safely abed."
Her sheepish expression confirmed his suspicion. "But I couldn't sleep, and it's so boring belowdecks." Her eyes widened. "You won't tell him, will you?"
"I should. However, I'll keep your secret… providing it doesn't happen again. Now…" Bowing, he offered his arm. "May I have the pleasure of escorting m'lady back to her cabin?"
She gazed up at him gratefully, eyes shining. "Why, thank you, Lieutenant." Her arm looped through his. "I'd be honoured."
