a very good VH1 classic series

 VH1classic has been playing a 7-part documentary, seven ages of rock.  i tivod them & have only watched the 1st 2.  the second one, art rock, is just fantastic, despite roxy music.  pink floyd/syd barrett, david bowie, velvet underground/andy warhol, roxy music, genesis are featured, with recently filmed interviews (bowie!!!).  very interesting...

Aw, man, I wish I'd seen this sooner. I think I flipped past that a few times without even stopping. I'll have to look for repeats.

they are really good - you know vh1classics repeats everything over & over. i've seen them all now except for the british indie one. the one about grunge was fantastic - krist novacelic talking about kurt cobain made me cry. it was very moving.
