Happy New Year, and some stuff.

Jan 16, 2009 22:11

I started the new year with a flu. Yay me.
Which means that I haven't even had the time to write about Sesa, or the other sesa or anything, which sucks.

But I did manage to start walking half an hour every day, and to commemorate that, I decided to re-try the project 365 so...

Piñata

Piñatas are traditional in Mexico. I used to know a story about how it symbolized breaking the bad stuff in life to get at the good stuff... but maybe my Grandma just made that one up. In any case, it's still funny to find one just hanging out a normal tree when you're walking down the street.

Pretty Flowers

In my daily walks, I see a lot of trees and flowers in the road. So I'm practicing my nature photographing

Work, work, work

So I'm revamping my website. This is the first draft of the final idea, and a couple of other sketches.

Abandoned house

This house, near the phone office, has been abandoned for as long as I remember. the only changed thing is that now the garden is actually clean. I bet this was a beautiful house in its day.

Heaven

What can I say? A Starbucks lunch with Au does solve a lot of problems

Flowers for sale

In the city, you can find a lot of this Street Flower shops in different streets. Any flower you want, any arrangement you want, they can make it for you. They're particularly busy when they're near churches as many people buy flowers for offerings.

Blue skies

I like trees. And this particular contrast of leaves, small seeds and blue sky was just... you know. A picture I had to take.

City gets busier

They just opened a new line for the street-level subway system in the city, the 'Metrobus'. This one goes almost right infront of my house. Needless to say, traffic has increased a thousandfold.

Corner arrangement

What can I say? I like flowers. This particular "Nochebuena" (I don't know the name in English) was in the stairs of the office where I did a small multimedia work this year.

Beautiful House.

Another House in my neighbor. We get pretty houses around here.

Model Kitty.

There's an abandoned lot in my neighbor, where a lot of stray cats live. Trying to catch them is nearly impossible, but most people leave them food so they're still healthy. This is one of the most friendly of the bunch, who likes to pose for pictures (I kid you not. The damn cat stops if she/he sees a camera or a cellphone pointed at him/her. It's... cute, in a way)

I guess tomorrow I'll do my yay!sesa post :)
