So I have a virus that is out to destroy me. I went to the doctor thinking it was strep because I can't eat anything other than smoothies and chicken soup, but apparently this is just going around and I should take an Advil. My ears hurt, my joints hurt, my throat is a disaster, my eyes hurt (which is odd), and I have headaches that come and go. ( Read more... )

Hrm.. I cant really be to much help because basically my babysitter potty trained my kid, but we did use jelly beans for bribes. Maybe she can get a sticker for going on the toilet and if something happens, like a pee or a poop, she can get a jelly bean ( or a few M&Ms or something?) Which may or may not actually get her to do something, or she may just drive you mad for the stickers anyway, without any real results. Just a thought though. They will get it eventually. And just when they do, you'll have a long long trip that you'll be wishing they were still in diapers for. lol

Thanks. I'm not in a hurry, just trying to stay ahead of the game.

No lawyer necessary(I'm married to one who does traffic/DWI/etc.) It's in the same category as a "fix-it ticket." They do it with headlights that are out too. You just get it fixed quickly(or inspected) and give them proof and it's typically dismissed.

Thanks for the tip. We got it fixed in 24 hours, but I'm confused about who to send the proof to. The sheet of paper the officer gave me doesn't say anything at all about what to do and he only mentioned waiting until a ticket comes in the mail.

I used M&Ms and only gave him one if he pooped on the potty(he peed on it without bribes.) It worked well. But I didn't start training until 3. How old is she?

She's almost 2 1/2, so no hurry except that she clearly doesn't want to be in diapers anymore. I'm thinking of trying jellybeans since she asks for those once a day even though she's only had them once over two months ago.
