I am told that I am 2 different people, one person at work and a different person outside of work. At work I am serious and not fun loving. Outside of work I am adventurous, smiley, and more easy going/go with the flow. Self protection. Running around in the job with your heart wide open will get you get stings, sooner or later. Not only that your collegues play personal in ascending the latter, also business itself does not allow to take things very personally. If you do although, it might happen you come home crying and shatter through it. That's a reason why people suffer from burn out - they invest too much.
