I haven't watched this show since 4x02 so some of this was a little lost on me but... the general premise? I TOTALLY GET THAT!

And I love it.

Especially, And he would have been able to make some snide remark about “sure the kids can save the world but I doubt they’re getting into college.” SUCH a Damon thing to say!!

And this whole section, Blondie may have gotten to have her perfect senior year with a themed dance every week and Lockwood would have had a true ally to turn to when the worst hybrid plan ever (this one’s even worse than last weeks) started to get hatched. And Ric would have sniffed out how creepy Professor open up your mind, Bonnie was and shut it down. Would have taken her to true sages of magic, would have made her powerful in a greater way, and would have made her study for her physics final too. is also fabulous!!

I wish you were still watching! It's still okay, but it's not teenage girl screaming and yelping and crying. It got too bogged down in the luuuuv triangle, and less about being a soapy soapy mess. That, or I'm growing up and can no longer access teenage emotions. EITHER OPTION IS NOT OKAY.

"SUCH a Damon thing to say!!" I can literally see his smirk, you don't understand.

I ALSO WROTE IN MY AUTHOR'S NOTE THAT I MISSED ALARIC AND RIC. I obviously meant to say Damon and Ric, but FREUDIAN SLIP OR FREUDIAN SLIP?.

Superbly well done! A GREAT Damon voice! I'm doing a re-watch from the beginning and there is no question that Alaric's loss is the biggest loss of the show.

You completely nailed this! You nailed Damon's voice and Alaric's death significance on the show. It sounded so real you could just pick that internal rant and make Damon actually say it on the show. The snarkyness, the nicknames, the feel, everything is so Damon.
