The Return.

Hello, LiveJournal. I'm sorry I abandoned you. It wasn't intentional.

Classes started last week. Pre Calculus Algebra seems like it will be hard (Goody!), but my Biology teacher is really easy.

In more interesting news, the Half-Blood Prince movie has been given a PG rating. The last two Potter films have been rated PG-13.

It took me a while to get into it, and I'm not sure I like the protagonist, but it is very entertaining once it gets going.

it's the present tense thing again, I fear.
Yeah, the present tense, first person thing and a few other writing ticks reminded me of Twilight. No wonder Stephenie liked it.

Yeah, the HP rating bothers me somewhat; especially with regards to the Dumbledore/Harry scenes at the end. I really want those scenes done well, as they made the whole book for me (HBP being my least favorite in the series at the moment).

I agree. The Dumbledore/Harry stuff at the end make the book, especially Dumbledore's line when they're leaving the cave, "I am not worried, Harry. I am with you" (paraphrase). I like the Tom Riddle-pensieve-flashback stuff too.

I'm trying to prepare myself for whatever they've done to ruin the Dumbledore/Harry interaction in this one. I don't understand why they haven't tried to develop their relationship. It's not like it's unimportant. Dumbledore's all through Hallows.

*sobs remembering "I'm am with you."*

Yeah, the pensieve stuff was pretty good. I just didn't care much for the romantic comedy stuff in HBP.

The Harry and Dumbledore relationship in the movies is pretty messed up so far. Wonder what they'll do to it for this one?

HBP isn't my favorite either I don't think. I like some of the Ron/Hermione stuff, but I'm not crazy about Ginny.

I have no idea. The reviews from the early screenings in Chicago a few months back said "Dumbledore wasn't as bad as had been feared" or something along those lines. But, if they do try to develop Dumbledore's sort of mentor/grandfather-y relationship with Harry, it will be too little too late in my opinion. Considering that the whole point of Phoenix was that Dumbledore avoided Harry because he loved him too much and didn't want to force him to face the whole prophecy thing, and they cut that from the film.
