I guess mobile LJ didn't work - update

Home now, outfitted with cast and sling. They're not 100% sure it's broken - the x-ray looks fine but that's not unusual with this particular bone, and the position of the pain makes them suspicious. Have to go to an ortho within the week to have it re-checked. Pain meds good ( Read more... )

Yike, bb! I hope it heals well; I'm glad they are being cautious and treating it as if they know it's broken.

He's not much of a cook - I was even the one who ordered the pizza last night! But he already makes me coffee, does the vacuuming and the laundry, so I can't complain too much.

And on a further injury front, I always have a bad reaction to pain meds, and tossed and turned and nearly scratched my skin off all night thanks to the Percoset. Today, I nap. After I'm sure it's worn off.

Yikes! That's the bone I fractured last year, it's really not a lot of fun when it happens, and yes, it takes a long time to heal - I still feel it in the cold these days and am pretty much resigned to that for the rest of my life.

Make sure you do any physio they suggest for you. It hurts like the blazes for a while but it really will help in the end.
