the joys of Emergency Surgery

My son used to have an appendix. As of an hour ago he doesn't anymore. He came home from college on a whim Friday afternoon. Thank God, because around 4AM he woke up in a lot of pain. By six we decided to take him to the hospital. Blood test, CT scan and lots of waiting to confirm it was indeed his appendix. He went in for surgery at around 1PM
