Gig promotions

I've broken my livejournal boycott already once today by using a drama generator. Anyone know of people who will put on/do minor promotions for a gig? I've got some friends coming up touring with a band, and although they've had a Newcastle date confirmed, they don't have anything sorted for Edinburgh and I don't really have the time/connexions

Don't know, but knowing them it'll be a fairly low-profile (i.e. non-paying) gig. I was just wondering if anyone had done this sort of thing before, or knew how it was done. I've done gigs and promotions before myself, but for local bands in their (my) home area and I guess this is probably a bit different.

dont know if you remember, but i said i could help ya out. if you can get a CD to me, i can go to bannermans and try and swing something. id need a guarantee from you that youd publicise it to hell, cos Paul wont just put on anyone, especially if he doesnt think theyll draw a crowd. email me or something
