do you REALLY suggest drinking heavily? i've been such a good girl on this trip, and look what good it's done me... now that i've shelled out for antibiotics, i'm reticent. if only vodka could cure all ills... onion juice? not sure i could stomach it...
I find that drinking hard alcohol numbs the pain and puts me to sleep, which is mostly what I need to get better. Also, you can quit right away if it's not making you feel better (whereas with antibiotics you have to take the full course, and no drinking allowed). My liver may not like me very much, but I'm rarely sick for more than a couple days since I started booze as a curative. The brandy they make here is particularly good -- you're also supposed to sleep with a scarf dipped in it wrapped around your throat, as even the fumes are considered restorative.
haha, I got the thermometer propped into my armpit when I was a kid, it was an odd experience (and you have to add some to the degree result, if I remember correctly)
Get well, I'll do a pagan mini-ritual for your tonsils!
