He reluctantly opened his eyes at Remus' voice, looking up at the other man groggily. "Morning, Remus," he said half-heartedly, wondering what time it was. It wouldn't surprise him if he'd slept for days straight.

"...it's half past four, Sirius," he said, as quietly and gently as he was smiling down at the other man. "I'm afraid you've missed the morning altogether. And the afternoon, for that matter..."

"If you let me sleep a few more hours, it'll be morning all over again," he said, not quite making the move to get up quite yet, barely grinning at Remus. Despite everything, he could still be cheeky when he wanted to be. "Eventually."

He shook his head, continuing to smile down at him. "If that's what you want, then I can leave you to it. I just figured that I should check in on you and you know. Make sure you were alright, see if you needed anything. Food, water, more blankets...?" he asked.
