had a root canal? i have to get one tomorrow and i'm terrified. i did some goggled it last night and i started to freak out. what should i expect?

it sucks....basicly they file down your crown and then drain all the crap in your canal (by drilling 3? tiny holes in your tooth) and then they throw a cap on top of it when its done..

it took awhile and your tooth is not happy afterward....

when i had mine, i was in surgery for like 3 hours and on gas the entire time. when it was over, i was stoned to the max and then slept for 17 hours and felt like total shit for two days. my mouth hurt really bad for a while. it sucked. it sucked a whole lot. i'm sorry hon!

My sister had a root canal when she was 5 i think. They gave her Vicodin....why would you give a 5 yr old vicodin??? Im sure you'll get some good drugs.
