I think that you'll find yourself adjusting and you'll really like where you are. It's cooler, it's quieter, and once you figure out where everything is, it will be much easier.
We have roundabouts all over town now.
We have SO many Tesla drivers in this town. All I can think is there are people here who have more money than sense. I laughed my ass off when someone driving a Tesla truck passed me the other day. I was on my way to work, and I laughed for probably two or three miles over how incredibly ugly and stupid the damn things are.
I'm basically ok with roundabouts, but they can be treacherous. They are all over Hilton Head Island and I had to get used to them. Every time I go out I have to take one. Some of the more traveled ones have two lanes, and you have to know which lane to be in to get off on the exit you want. Tricky if you're not familiar, and most tourists aren't, making for some crazy, sometimes dangerous maneuvers by the out-of-towners!
I've never moved (except to college or when I married), but I'd think moving would be disconcerting. Nothing is familiar, and I can see where you would suddenly long for the familiar patterns you left behind - kind of a grieving process. You will establish new patterns, but it will take time.
