The pipe laying circus has moved to my street. There’s a pile of gravel taller than me. There are four large trucks, scoopers and pushers in our narrow cul-de-sac.  There are trenches, filled and not filled with gravel. There is beeping. I was going to explore new stores today but nah, getting the car in and out would only be done by driving over

I'm sorry to hear this. Road work is never fun, esepcially at home.

We have a set of townhouses being built at the end of the main street going out to the highway. So our road right at the end has been a torn up mess for months. Nothing is built. They have a giant opening that is probably a retention pond, but other than that - it's just barren with machinery sitting on it.

We may never get that road paved again at this rate.

Sounds like things are being much more efficient where you are!
