WHY AM I SO INSANE

Oct 16, 2008 13:46

No, seriously. Let me tell you a story. I've been planning all along to write 100,000 words of novel this November. Actually, no, that's a lie. At first, I set my goal at 75,000 because I knew I would be having a busy semester, and I was prepared to dive in with no plot. Then, once my novel began to flesh itself out, I pushed my personal goal back ( Read more... )

Hi, I just saw your comment in the nanowrimo comm and wondered if you want to be writing buddies?

Edit: And as a first-timer, having read this entry I think the two novels in 30 days is crazy, wonderful and terrifying! Hehe.

Yay writing buddies! *adds*

Two novels in 30 days was quite terrifying. I didn't think I'd be able to do it, but I actually managed to pull it off. It was exhilarating! We'll see if I have the motivation to do it again...

Friending you like the others. I'm a trend follower.

I barely managed 50K last year for my first NaNo and this novel is folllowing the trend of the last where I end the story before it's over so I can write a sequel later. This one is shaping up like the last and wants to be part of a three book series that I'll probably never finish. But ah well, it's fun.

Best of luck figuring out what to write and how much.

Hey, the more the merrier! I like writing buddies!

I'm also in the middle of writing a series. I wrote the first book for NaNo 2006 and the second one for NaNo 2007, and they both need to be rewritten. This is the first time I've attempted to do any kind of "epic series" (and I use the word "epic" loosely :P), and I didn't realize it would take so long. And even if I never finish, it's a good experience.

Good luck with your own NaNo-ing! :)

Jumping on the train and adding you, just like those above me.

Last year, I barely managed 2,000 words (school got in the way), but this year I'm hoping to do much, much better.

I might join you in cranking out two novels, if you decide to go that route. It's looking like that's what I'm going to have to do, anyway.

Yay, more NaNo friends!

I believe in you! All of us crazy NaNo-ers will band together and help each other do really crazy things like write two novels in a month! Because we're all equally insane!

(I use too many exclamation points! But I'm excited!)

Anyway, welcome to my f-list. :) I look forward to NaNo-ing with you.
