 On Thursday, Shawn threw out her back.  She's been in varying amounts of pain throughout the weekend, ranging from extreme discomfort to 'crying in despair.'  We went to the emergency clinic on Saturday in hopes of some relief. I bet Mason will love FIRST Tech Challenge, which is the robotics program for high schoolers. They learn a new programming language -- a real one -- and they build their robot using parts (some purchased, some precision-cut, some 3D printed...), designing it with AutoCAD.

Molly quite enjoyed Lego League, but she finds FTC even better. Also, I suspect this is as true at Mason's school as at Molly's -- they're always eager to recruit FTC kids who did FLL to come back and volunteer to work with the younger children. So he can return as an older, wiser mentor in a year or two.
