It was the first day of our new block, today. Just started cardiorespiratory, which is going to be a whole load of hard work. I should talk, at some point, about how medicine is totally screwing me over for having decided to do a BSc. Huh. I read somewhere that he was going back to work this week, so you may actually get to meet him..

There was no suggestion that he was - they currently have a Registrar temping in his position. I guess he may be back sometime before Chrismas though, in which case perhaps I will.

However, to be honest I would rather not meet him, because that would mean figuring out how to react about it. My guess would be to pretend you have no clue about any of it and just get on with it, but that's kinda horrible, too. But if I were in his position I wouldn't be too impressed by vague sympathetic noises from people who have no clue and probably just feel obligated.

Wait, although there has been no suggestion of it within the setting of our teaching, you're right, it seems it has been confirmed that he'll back to work this Thursday. My guess would therefore be that perhaps he's not going to get involved with the teaching for a little while - although I know the Reg in his place has students, so presumably they'll be transferred over to him.

Yeah, it's really difficult huh? I wouldn't have guessed who it was in a million years!

Maybe I should make it so that only friends can comment? Can't have it so that all these people can comment when I have no clue who they are...!
