The movie itself...meh. I just re-read the book after a 20-year gap and loved it, but the film itself? Kind of unnecessary, I think. Hopkins was both scarier AND hammier than he was in TSOTL, somehow. I thought Fiennes and Keitel were great as Dolarhyde and Crawford, and I loved Reba (the actress's name escapes me.)
And where were the doggies? :( NGL, I think a large part of my investment in this fandom is the dogs. I couldn't concentrate properly on the finale until Bloom said she's take them all. Pretty sure the showrunners knew that too. :)
