Have a designate driver already picked out so YOU are not driving.

See NYC and the beach in Los Angeles (old stomping grounds) and have a drink on the beach at sunset.

Not a bad plan.

I've got a rather decadent party to go to the night before with a whole lot of wonderful people. Lots of intoxicants. We don't drive. One streetcar ride home even.
