We`re up to 53 confirmed cases in the prefecture. All Hyogo prefecture-administered schools are closed for the week. Teachers still have to come in to work, but I can take a day of my choosing off this week in lieu of the day off I should have had today. Yeah, it would have to have bleach to kill a virus, and that would damage your skin.

I kinda think the Japanese are over-reacting way more than most Americans are. I'm sorry. If i were there right now, i think i would be tempted to walk around in public and cough randomly, just for kicks. I would do that here, but people seem to have stopped caring.

In China, there's a fad of having these really artistic face mask with all kinds of weird art on them.

In general, though, people here only wear masks when they are sick themselves, and then they mostly do it to keep people from standing too close to them. Don't know if that makes any difference in terms of disease transmission, though.
