1. Jesus Camp was one of the best documentaries I've seen. I went into it thinking I was just going to enjoy it on a political or philosophical level (read: become very, very angry/disturbed over fundamentalists' indoctrination of children, religion in general, etc.), and granted, it DID make me angry...but I enjoyed it as a film, too. Like, even a month or two later I find myself thinking of certain shots throughout the film, just how they were framed, and like, the LIGHTING and the MUSIC. Maybe that's strange. Moreover, though, the people in it were so interesting and while a lot of people thought the entire premise was biased or exploitative, I found myself actually feeling sympathetic (in a brief moment, anyway) toward a woman whom I would normally want to smack with a halibut

:D I thought Biophilia was fabulous! And here is where I am going to sound kind of stupid, but the thing is I hardly remember what it was about; I just remember how much I enjoyed it at the time. It's pretty embarrassing, because I only read it a couple of months ago, so I'm going to have to pick it up again. What I really want to read now is Sociobiology; I've been reading this Richard Dawkins and E.O. Wilson's been coming up a lot. And I kind of have a crush on Richard Dawkins, so I'll read just about anyone he spouts off about frequently...
The other day my roommate was telling me how she had just seen James Watson (of ~watson and crick~ fame) give a speech at my school and he was all like "blax and gayz sux" as usual and I somehow misheard her and thought she was talking about my baby Richard Dawkins and I was like :O for like an entire week until I realized who she was really talking about. It was reality shattering. :'(

I miss your wit. You quite often say exactly what I've been thinking, but in a much funnier way.
