It took me a while to decide whether or not I wanted to reply to this post. From the long list of things I wanted to say, I just chose one thing.

I remember about a year ago I messaged you a few times and tried to strike up conversation. We even met once at Jurann's place. I even asked you to let me know if you wanted to go get drinks sometime. You never initiated any conversations with me. Yet, on your journal, you complain that you haven't made any new friends. Becoming friends takes effort on both sides, and you didn't seem willing to reciprocate when I tried. I'm not bitter about it, I moved on. I hope things get better for you.

I am sorry. I should really come with a warning label that says I'm inexplicably frigid to start with and it takes me a while to thaw out. It's a preemptive defense mechanism.

You're absolutely right that all relationships require work and time.

I think last few months, there were a few people who I talked to who just stopped talking to me when they found out I have a boyfriend or something equally trivial. So it's hard to want to open myself up much when people have so many conditions for their friendships.

Cheer up bud, you have a lot of good friends here. Don't worry about what the spoo only art lovers on FA want (or don't want). You got some funds raised and we are going to FC one way or another.
