Intro Post for brigits_flame
Hullo there, everyone. I'm Devon, and I'm new to this competition, but I'm very much looking forward to it. I've gone back and forth between wanting to make writing a career and making it just something I do on the side for years, ever since middle school, but I've finally decided to find a more active (and hopefully more reliable) career path and keep writing as something I manage on the side.
Of course, that would mean that I have to begin managing it!
I've been something along the lines of completely useless when it comes to actually getting all the writing that I want to start up done, or even on its way, so I'm hoping this competition helps get me in shape, so to speak. I've also been having a lot of insecurities about my writing and I'd love to get constructive criticism to help it along; I can only talk to myself about styles and creative license for so long before I end up not trusting my opinion on the matter of writing and then I can't bring myself to write anything at all.
Wow, after going to see some of the other intros, I realize that mine is so far long and boring! I'll try to keep the rest simple.
I am a LiveJournal RPer, both with Original Characters and those of different fandoms- I generally play Marauder!Era Sirius Black in most things I join. I like anime, manga, Harry Potter (obviously), video games, general fantasy or science fiction books, martial arts, dancing (however bad I may be at it), and singing (again, with no actual talent.) I love animals and have four cats that live to pester me; I'd have dogs and other animals if I had a bigger place to live. Basic job that pays little over minimum wage, but I like it well enough for now.
I suppose anything more will just have to be asked~ This intro has rambled on long enough. :3
