As someone who didn't grow up during the time period that his movies were so popular, I did grow up with his movies! My favorite of course is the Ten Commandments and I watch it every year. He will be missed...

One of his best films was Planet of the Apes. Not only is it one of the most famous films, if not most in the scifi genre. The great cornfield scene and the Statue of Liberty on the beach will forever be part of our culture. Plus, the greatest lines ever!
