i have to wait until i'm done with the military. not really worth it to move her out for under six months time.

other than that, marrie life is good. wife and step kids get to meet me in Az for xmas and so then the family can meet the family...

ah ha! How many kiddos you got now? :) How old are they? It was kind of weird at first when Ivan met my boys. Hes only 11 years older than my older son and Im 11 years older than he is. I think though that the age difference has actually worked in his favour though. Hes got more in common with my son than most men my age would, and my son seems to treat Ivan more like a good friend/older friend than a step dad and having a step dad thats into playing video games, trapesing around in medieval armor and building hoovercrafts is definately cool. :) He also hangs out and plays jedis, ninjas, pirates, etc with my younger kid. Sometimes i feel like I have 3 boys instead of 2 and a hubby :) but its fantastic. :)

Good luck with the family meeting...that was the scary part for us. His mom and dad are awesome though and the only people that were kind of iffy about us were his sisters. I am the same age as Ivans older sister, so she was the worst of them but now we all get along great.

:) congrats

4 step kids now, 3 boys: Cody, Clay and Seth (14,13,9), and then the youngest and the only girl, Talon is 6. The age gap is definately abnormal, i'm closer in age to my oldest step-son than i am to my wife. but at the same time, having had a step-dad growing up i can kinda understand their point of view too. my big thing is i know they already have a dad and i'm not here to replace them. i can be more of a friend while still maintaining myself as a role model and alpha male/head of household to them, y'know.

Tina (ma wife) has already been to yuma and met the parents and most of the friends, so i'm not so nervous about that part. Honestly i'm sure my mom will be all kinds of excited to have little helpers to bake xmas cookies with her.

why would she kill you when she is the strangest one of all? besides, i think your wife and i could be really really close one day. ^^

besides, i always could totally kick her butt at risk. maybe even monopoly.
