The kitten looked pathetically up at Lynda, because his overcoat no longer seemed to want to fit, and she didn't seem to hear him when he replied yes those ten billion times she called his name.
Lynda still couldn't help but stare a bit when she entered this room. It was so big; it was hard to believe if she walked out the door and turned around, it would look like such a small box. She spotted the cat on the floor, mewing pathetically up at her, and leaned down to get a better look and possibly pet it a bit. "How'd you get in here, sweetheart?"
