Had a great day today -- spent quality time with Rich road tripin to Tulsa. Saw the Avengers. LOVED every bit of it! Classic Joss. Then dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse enjoying on a leftover birthday giftcard. YUM!

One of the best things Joss Whedon does is write a strong female character.Whether she is the main character, or one of an ensemble cast. He also writes with humor that I think appeals equally to both sexes. (Yes, I'm a long-time fan! ;) )
That being said...Yes it is very comic-book actiony. Which nearly every male on the planet will appreciate.
But with the story and the humor...Well, I loved it.

Then, one of my female friends said she didn't like it because it was too "long" and didn't occupy her ADD brain (I still haven't figured that out with all the action scenes- but oh well, her words, not mine.)

But, no, I don't consider it a "guy" movie at all.
