Absolutely! Motherhood isn't just for human babies. Pets need loving care too. It's always hard when they're sick, though, and it's That Time...Your heart just hurts. She won't be in pain anymore. But I am so sorry to hear she's in a bad place.

Yeah she is my child...I couldn't love her any more if she'd been born of my body. She's my daughter and I love her as such. And I can tell she's in pain because I can see it in her eyes when she looks at me and when she paws at me to pick her up. Emma, my heart's just breaking...I know this is for the best and she won't be in pain anymore and she won't hurt but what will I do without her precious smile? She's my floppy-eared puppy.

I am so sorry about Charm. I wish I had something more to offer than my thoughts and my tears. Too many of us have been in this position this year. I fucking hate it. 2011 better be better than 2010. I'll be royally pissed off if it isn't.

We've had to go through a loss of a pet and it is really like losing a part of the family.

You probably do not know me, but I definitely feel your pain. I am currently going through the same thing with my pet Sheltie Rory, just recently diagnosed with end-stage lung cancer. It's an incredibly hard decision to make, and right now, we have a day or a week before the decision must truly be made. My thoughts are with you and Charm.

I recognize your name from Twitter and I've been keeping up with you and your Rory. I haven't commented because, well, I didn't know what to say. My heart and prayers and thoughts are with you. All this with Charm just came up since Saturday night so we didn't have long to deal with it...I can't imagine what you've gone through. If you ever want or need anyone to talk to, I've been there in the past.

Making the decision this morning at the vet's office was the single hardest decision I have ever had to make. I couldn't even say the words...
