Sure you have a right to a false belief, but are you sure you want to shut down when someone tells you why it's false? Isn't that just talking? Isn't it just like saying bud, that used car deal sounds okay, but I know a much better place? I think I've been getting a little shrill on this topic lately, even borderline intolerant. I don't know why it's all come to such a focus: delusions are delusions because people can't be convinced otherwise. Otherwise, they're illusions.

although there's not a lot you can do about it, i have a hard time accepting it's just one of those things you have to accept.

They give the impression of some choice in what they think. They claim to have a right to their own free opinion and thinking. But really it's just a right to be enslaved by some kind of craziness.
