Science and pseudoscience?

My landlady doesn't agree with vaccinations. I'm very wary when I hear people don't agree with vaccinations but at least she didn't mention autism. I tried to keep an open mind and research what she said later. I found it's true measles and some other childhood diseases are unlikely to kill children in developed countries where health is generally ( Read more... )

The idea of vaccinations is to make you sick in a way that makes your immune system stronger, so she should agree with them. ;) There's also the whole "herd immunity" thing, not that I'm an expert.

I agree with you about the weaknesses of Western medicine. I also think that the way we relate to food in this culture is really, really messed up and that a better relationship with food could help a lot!

Well, I agree but some people think there is a difference between being sick from vaccine and actually having symptoms. She didn't feel getting into the biological difference.
Yes, society has a lot of issues with food. Too many people have forgotten how to relax and enjoy it!
