Another *squee* kind of post

I realize I´m fangirling again, and I´m sorry for it, but the wonderful Alexander Siddig has joined the cast of Game of Thrones for the upcoming season, and that makes me *so* ridiculously happy right now. Like, as ridiculously happy as when Capaldi was announced as the next Doctor (I´m expecting to get cramps any minute now, I´ve been grinning

We´re alright again now, don´t worry (but thanks all the same ^-^). Atlantis, NRW was actually fun at first...everybody was joking about and taking pictures and stuff, but soon enough everybody´s basements got flooded. At its highest level, the water stood about half a meter high in our street. Honestly, I´ve never seen so much rain coming down that quickly and violently in my whole live, it was really terrifying. But we were lucky compared to our neighbours, we had to deal with the water alright, but in the end I just lost all my old stuff like video tapes and magazines which would have had to go anyways. One of the guys across the street slipped on the wet tiles and broke his jawbone. No way to get an ambulance, my father drove him to hospital and the ride that normally takes fifteen minutes took about an hour. Another couple is off on holidays abroad right now and their in-laws who got flooded themselves had to take care of the mess. I really don´t need that kind of experience again anytime soon...I do like rain, but not like this.
