yes, i actually have been carving these types of jack-o-lanterns for quite a few years now. i find an image i like (usually on the 'net), create a template based on the image, and then transfer the image to the pumpkin by attaching the template to the pumpkin and poking holes along the "cut" lines. i then usually rub some flour over the holes i've created to make playing "connect the dots" with my saw a little easier.
hi sorry i just found your messagelimita85November 7 2007, 15:10:58 UTC
oh sorry i'm quite new to livejournal. so i just now saw you replied to me. that is amazing that you can do such a creepy thing like that. keep in touch. i don't have many friends on here. so it was pretty exsiting when i found your message. ~limita~
Very awesome! I was definitely more adventurous with my pumpkin this year (the eyes were pretty intricate). I finally bought a little carving saw instead of just using a kitchen knife, and it made all the difference in the world.
Good work! I was wondering what you came up with this time around:)
yay! i want to see a picture of yours (and you're right, a proper carving knife makes all the difference)! how was the party? i heard you had pretty sweet costumes (the dog, too). :)
looks like one of the clowns from the movie "Killer Clowns from Outer Space" which i must say i saw many years ago. They wrapped people up in cotton candy, and sucked their blood from crazy straws. it was awesome!
funny you should say that; i couldn't remember the movie, but tony says that the image i based my template off of was indeed a "killer clown from outer space." :)
good to know I wasn't the only one who saw that. Tony Harrison saw Killer Clowns too, huh? Well, at least I'm in good company there!
Hope you and the missus have a good Halloween! I'll be working that night, but hopefully my missus and I will do something hallo-riffic before I have to go in.
