I've also been enjoying this spring day. It's chilly and rainy enough that we have a fire in the wood stove, but it's still greening up and the birds are singing.
I laugh at myself b/c every year around this time I walk around saying, "There's so much green!" when compared to other places, it's barely a sprinkling. And, in 2 months, I'll think this is just a dusting of green, too. Still, that's just all fine by me.
It's gotten beyond a sprinkling of green here; the early tulips are done, the mid-season tulips are colouring up and the late tulips are starting to show buds. The maple flowers are falling like pale green snow and the leaves are opening, throwing canopy shadows across the lawn.
Once again, I didn't get the camera out in time to photograph the maple flowers. Every year I *swear* I'll take their picture, and every year I wait too long...
Ah. The text book and the tip toes are not related. The text was a collection of poetry, and finding that particular poem from the four or five collections we own wasn't worth the effort this morning.
