Take A Hike

Great pics! Wish I could go for a walk and see petroglyphs and cacti.

As much as you two travel, a jaunt over here would be nothing for you. Come anytime. I have a guest room and an extra bathroom. I wouldn't recommend summers but otherwise go for it.

Most of the petroglyphs in this area were created by a people called the HoHokom. Pottery shards have been found as well. No one seems to know what really happened to them; they sort of petered out, so to speak. They lived here when the Santa Cruz River actually flowed (cuts through what was the original Tucson settlement) and they most likely grew corn, beans and squash. It's the human need to express through art that fascinates me. It connects us all through cultures and time.
