Sounds like something straight out of a Pratchett novel. I do remember in one story, the citizens of Ankh-Morpork telling the suicide jumper how to do it right.

When I read about that yesterday, I also thought of Discworld... it seems something that would happen in good old Ankh-Morpork.

Secret time: I own the movie version on VHS as well as the play in book form. In fact we went and saw it done at local theater just about 2 weeks ago. That play was all the rage in my High school.

:D Want to play questions?

I know suicide is a very serious topic, but I found this story rather amusing in a morbid kind of way. What is more ironic is the one that pushed him was mentally ill himself. At least there was a happy ending and the guy landed on an inflatable thingy or else it wouldn't have been funny at all.
