Have you read any of the "Cat Who..." mystery novels?

In just about everyone she recommends that you talk to your cat to increase their intelligence. Have you tried talking your cat that you are going out, why, and when you will be back? I try to do that with mine. But they are fairly easy going in general.

Yes, I've read some of the "Cat Who..." books. She also states that Qwill (the human in the novel) gets ESP vibrations in his mustache, or some such thing. So I don't put too much faith in her notions. Her books are good for whiling away an hour or so, but I know just WHO will be the next murder victim when I start to read any given novel, because she focuses on that person.

I do talk to both cats, who enjoy it immensely. Sapphire probably understands perfectly well that I'm going out for a while. The thing is, she doesn't WANT me to go out, no matter what my reasons might be. And she considers her wants to be top priority, the little stinker.
