Here is a list of 13 books I would bring with me on a desert island. Keep in mind that I would have all the reference type books that I'd need including religious books, cook books, Fifty Sure-Fire Ways to Escape from a Desert Island You've Been Banished To, dictionaries, fishing/hunting/agricultural guides ect. GREAT choices! i think perks, 1984, catcher in the rye, and catch-22 would definitely be in mine, as well... perks was AWESOME for me this summer! i loved it so much. can you believe it was stephen chbosky's first book? it was so reminiscent of catcher in the rye for me. charlie was like holden in a lot of ways. alone, but not... and experiencing so much for the first time. oh i love those coming of age stories.

you should try fahrenheit 451(ray bradbury), brave new world (aldous huxley), and then some chillerns books, like a wrinkle in time (madeleine l'engle) and the giver (lois lowry). so good! along the lines of 1984 somewhat...

aaaaaaaaaand where is naked (william burroughs) and on the road (jack kerouac)?!

and the lotr series... and the chronicles of narnia... oh books are my weakness. :-p

I did want to put other books down (I have the lotr seris and chronicles of narnia and since I have already read them, I didn't want to put them down) but there was only 13 to chose from! So I picked some that I haven't read before (although some I have read obviously... but I read them over and over lol).
Thanks for the book recommendations though! I will have to check those out :) You should try to come up with 13 books too lol
