So yesterday began my year. I started off with new teacher orientations which have been pretty cool. I was really hoping that the new reading teacher at the school I'll be at would be my age as well as common interests. No luck there. The high school teachers seemed cool and it made me miss that environment a bit. It was very different from Orlando

And not having windows - I know how that is. When I taught sixth grade, I was right in the middle of the building with no windows whatsoever. It bites, but your kids will never be distracted.

Well there are good looking men and I assume straight but I've never had good radar for that. As far as single, I'm not sure but I'll keep my eyes open for that :)

Yeah it is small here! However, I did run into another new teacher from Florida- Kissimmee actually. I thought that was funny. They have an Osceola here too but it's a city and pronounced Oh-Sea-Oh-La. It's going to take me a while to get that one straight.

How are things there??? I miss you too! I could have used your wit and humor during orientation these last few days lol :)
