... man, I wish that were true. I feel like taking a trip or something. I may even restart the search for some nice places in the mountains where (hopefully) it'd be cooler. The heat's pretty scorching and so today, I'll be taking all the 'sheltered' routes around campus in order to make life just that little bit easier

Hurray at guitar-playing! Yes, practice indeed. The calluses are inevitable though...they'll help you press on the strings firmly without hurting yourself. Of course you'll feel pain in the beginning before they finally set in. But hurray! :)

Thanks! Hehehe, the calluses grow each day and thankfully so because my fingers still hurt.. particularly with G. I was wondering... is G really that hard? Or am I possibly holding the neck wrong or something? My fingers just find it a really awkward chord to play and it comes out sounding dodgy! :P

No, its supposed to be one of the easiest chords to play, with C and E and D.
